It's an easy, scenic 8-minute drive from the main road — close to Eumundi, Kenilworth and Cooroy — yet far enough away to give you the kind of stillness that's increasingly hard to find.
The name Ceffyl (pronounced Keff-ill) is Welsh for horse — woven through the cottage's genuine Welsh antiquities, original artworks, and the hand-built black-stone fireplace at its heart. Sleeping five across three bedrooms — with a single fold-out bed available on request — it's made for families, couples and friends who want to slow right down.

Character & charm
Part of what makes a stay here memorable is the detail — rare books, original paintings, antique horse brass and curated pieces, much of it drawn from the Welsh region. Each one adds to a stay you won't find anywhere else.
Outside, the cottage sits high and dry above the valley, with a veranda, BBQ and fire pits for cool evenings under a sky full of stars. A small flock of friendly sheep, wallabies and seasonal deer share the surrounds.
